After the turmoil in Hyrule due to Ganondorf's evil rule, everyone's favorite hero, Link, decided to take a ride in the forest on his trusty horse, Epona, to search for his long-lost friend. The one who guided him through everything and was always there...Navi. As he rode the trotting pony, two fairies appeared, one a deep purple, and the other, yellow. After giggling to eachother, the two flew into the poor pony's face, startling her greatly. So much that she caused Link to fall off and to be knocked cold for the moment.
Suddenly, from behind a tree, a mischievous Skullkid, clad in a creepy yet powerful mask, ran over to the fallen body of Link, snickered, and praised his fairies. Then, he investigated the boy. Digging through his bags, he pulled out a small blue instrument, the Ocarina of Time. Snickering once again, he blew a small, quiet note in it. Giggling, he tried again. Just then, Link came back into conciousness.
As Link rubbed his aching head, he noticed the Skullkid with his back turned to him. Link rose, and walked toward the Kid, tapping him on the shoulder. Upon noticing Link standing there, the Kid hid the Ocarina behind him and grinned innocently. Then, spontaneously, he hopped on Epona, kicked her, and rode off fast as lightening.
Link, wanting his stolen item back, ran after him, grabbing the hoof of Epona, but failing and slipped away, far out of the Kid's reach. He cotinued to run after him, into a hollowed log.
Inside, he found a strange, dimly-lit grotto. His eyes spotted the Skullkid, relaxing in the air as if nothing had happened. Link took a step toward him, onto a strange pink flower in the water.
"...I just wanted to have a little fun with you..." the Skullkid finished his long speech. Then, without warning, he let out a blood-curdling screech. Link covered his ears in pain and closed his eyes.
"...scritch, scritch, scritch..." Link could hear a strange yet familiar noise. He opened his eyes to see hundreds of Deku Scrubs surrounding him, engulfing his body. Closing his eyes again, the noise soon went away.
But alas, upon opening them again, he heard the snicker of the Skullkid and fairies. He looked at his reflection in the water and yelped. He shook his head in horror as he saw not a reflection of himself, but a reflection of a lowly Deku Scrub. The Skullkid snickered, and he began to speak again...
