Rants

Don't take any of these rants personally. I'm not meaning to offend anyone if I have done so, this is just a page to, well, rant about things going on anywhere.RANT RANT RANT!

GCN Zelda
Alright, just to get this started (and because I want to voice something) I want to rant about something that really annoys me. I'm sure many of you have seen previews and clips of GCN Zelda, and its new "cartoony" look. I'm also pretty sure that many people have complained because of this, and that it's going to ruin the whole series or some crap like that. Whine whine whine. Since when did graphics (HELLO, the game is LOADED) and picture styles matter in a game?? When did the way that things were drawn and done tie in with the storyline, or the music, or the gameplay? Goldeneye, for example, had the crappiest faces I've ever seen. Flat, disgusting, but guess what? It's one of the best (if not) games in its genre. One of my favorites. Not a fan of shooting games? I have another thing to throw at you, and if you tell me it's because of the system, I will hurt you. You're on this site because you're either madly in love with Zelda, or you've visited for the heck of websurfing (this includes anti-people and random people that know me personally). "A Link to the Past" is by far the best Zelda game in the series (in my opinion and many others). This game had a cartoony look, and it is NOT because it's on the SNES, because "The Adventure of Link" is an NES platform and NOT cartoony. "A Link to the Past" had a rich storyline, unforgettable characters (even the bad guys!), and hard-as-hell dungeons to get through. This game was not ruined by its style, and if a bunch of people are going to whine about something new, then they can just sit wherever they are and not buy the game while the rest of us enjoy the latest Zelda game to be released.

"Bands"
Notice the quotations, I don't literally mean I don't like bands. What I mean is the music groups (if they even can be called that, sissies) that don't do ANYTHING. They don't write their own music, come up with dancing (and what they do dance is a bunch of crap, anyway), or play instruments. How can they be called "artists" and "stars" when all they do is act like mindless robots getting filthy rich off of other peoples' talents and ideas? "They write SOME of their own lyrics." Great. Notice the word "some". "Some", in their case, usually means one, or two, or maybe *GASP* three?? And, these are just lyrics. Maybe they write the music. Maybe they make up dance moves. But none of them make them all. "They can sing!" Wonderful. Hey, what if you were a musical genius, but you couldn't sing, and your friend could? What if you wrote songs and music for him/her, and they sung it, and got rich off of you, and the producers told you that they didn't need you anymore, or you didn't get paid? What if this wasn't a friend? Great. So what if you can sing and dance. Can you be creative with it?
