Hey, who remembers their first website? You know, the templates, the cute little pictures that you found on your computer, and all of the clunky stuff that looked odd but you didn't know how to change? Well, here is the history of this site.

Okay, I remember when I found out I could actually make my OWN WEBSITE. I thought, "How coooool! Now I can have one of those cool pages like Yahoo! and stuff!" Ha! I got a surprise, because, of course, I knew nothing of the wonders of site building. My shock came from my obnoxiously long URL, the clunky frames, and the odd template styles. The first page was trying to be a mix of too many things, and I couldn't keep up with it. It didn't even have a ringing name. It was just "Tori's Page".
However, I discovered that there WERE better ways to create web pages. I found a new host, and the name changed to the "Temple of Dark" (as you've probably noticed on some pages that I have stupidly forgotten to update or change). I still didn't know how to do any HTML on my own, so I continued to use the templates for quite a while.
Until I realized that my site was total crap.
When I tried to use some of the HTML tricks I'd learned inside of the templates themselves, they didn't work, and I finally decided to change everything into HTML. Ooh, Heaven. I was finally in the big time, learning lots of HTML, and my site was looking great with the tables, nifty links, and picture organization.
Until, one day, when the main page was deleted.
Okay, after my screaming, I spend three hours re-doing the whole thing, and it looked even better, with many of the clunky mistakes corrected, and I was happy.
Until, one day, when my main page was deleted again.
After personally impaling my face into the keyboard, I started again, and it turned out better, so you could say that it was a blessing in disguise.
Until, one day, when my main page was deleted. For the third time.
At this point, I moved from the host that I will not name to this host (which doesn't delete my pages), and I learned more and more HTML and stuff on the way. After finding a lot of nice-sounding MIDI's and good pictures and such, I changed the name to "The Dark World", and changed the layout completely. Since then, my site is getting more and better information all the time, and I hope it will be better in the future!
